Membership of MSK is open to anyone with an interest in microbiology; no special qualifications are needed. Two membership categories are as follows.

 Regular Membership  
     Receipt of the Society's News (Korean) four times a year
     Receipt of notices of meetings
     Attendance at all Society meetings at special registration charges
     Purchase of Society journals and books
     Right to vote in elections to Council and at Society general meetings
     Right to hold office

 Student Membership  
     Receipt of the Society's News (Korean) four times a year
     Receipt of notices of meetings
     Attendance at all Society meetings at special registration charges
     Purchase of Society journals and books
