Abstract This study was conducted to establish the formula which enables prediction of clonal distribution in a population, to verify the frequency of each clone by the formula, and to assess clonal fitness as a result of interaction in the mixture of two clones on the laboratory condition. Clonal fitness in mixed laboratory cultures of Polysphondulium pallidum was governed by the combination of two factors: resource consumption rate and the efficiency by which resources was transformed into spores(spore-forming efficiency). In a clone resource consumption rate(r) and spore-forming efficiency(e) were negatively correlated each other. Clonal distribution in a population dynamics of cellular slime mold by clonal interactions could be predicted in the clonal mixture of labolatory culture.
